【再掲】【追記／重要】Googleドライブの容量制限について／【Important】Notification of Capacity Restrictions on Google Drive

本学では、Google Workspace for Education をGoogle社と契約し、
全学メール・Googleドライブといったサービスを学生・教職員向けに提供しています。
2022年7月にGoogle社よりGoogle Workspace for Education のサービス改定がなされ、
それまで無制限だったストレージ容量（Gmail、Googleドライブを含む）が、制限されることになりました。

組織全体のストレージ容量が学内全体の利用者に影響を及ぼすことから、
一部の利用者による過大な使用を防ぐため、段階的にストレージの容量制限をすることにいたしました。
今年度につきましては、以下の制限を実施いたします。

 

〇制限内容
・制限設定日：2023年9月4日
　※反映まで最大24時間かかる場合がございます

・個人毎のストレージ　学生・非専任教職員：500GB（1ユーザーあたり）
　　　　　　　　　　　専任教職員　　　　：750GB（1ユーザーあたり）
　※個人毎のストレージには、全学メール、マイドライブ等が含まれます

・共有ドライブ　1TB（1共有ドライブあたり）
　

〇容量制限超過した場合の挙動
(1)容量超過後の制限される機能
・Googleドライブ、Googleフォトへの新規保存はできません。

(2)容量超過後でも使用できる機能
・Googleドライブ、Googleフォト上の既存ファイルの使用が可能です。
・全学メールアドレスでの、メール送受信可能です。
・YouTubeへの動画アップロード、動画視聴が可能です。

 

〇データ整理のお願い
サービス利用者様におかれましては、以下マニュアルを参考に、制限設定日までにデータの整理をお願いいたします。

〇制限の一時容量拡張申請について
容量制限によって、教育研究および業務に支障が出る場合、一時的に容量拡張の対応を実施します。
希望する場合は、以下の申請フォームより、ご申請ください。

※注意事項
・申請内容によっては、容量拡張対応をお断りさせていただく場合がございます。
・本申請による容量拡張は、当月に限り有効となります。
・詳細な容量拡張期限については、設定完了後のお知らせをご確認ください。
・設定反映には、最大3営業日程度いただきます。
　※システム上、当日の設定反映はできません。

We are currently using the Google Workspace for Education service for educational institutions to provide storage services on Google Drive and other platforms.
Google eliminated the unlimited storage option for education in July 2022, although Google had traditionally offered unlimited storage to universities.

In response to the above announcement, Chuo University has decided to limit the storage capacity in stages.
For this fiscal year, the following restrictions will be implemented.

 

〇About restrictions
・Restriction Setting Date: September 4, 2023 　
　※Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect
・My Drive　     Student／Part-time Lecturer , Contract staff(including part-time staff 
                  　　　and temporary staff)：500GB（per user）
　　　　　　　  Faculty and staff members：750GB（per user）
 　※My Drive also includes  Chuo University Mail
・Shared drive：1TB（per drive）
     

〇What happens when the limit exceeded the capacity of Google Drive ?
(1)If you go over your storage limit, you won't lose anything. However, you won't be able to store new files in Google Drive or store new photos or videos in Google Photos.

(2)Even if you go over your storage limit…..
・You can use existing files in Google Drive and Google Photos.
・You can send and receive emails from Chuo University email addresses.
・You can upload and watch videos on YouTube.

 

〇 Request for organizing your data

〇Application for Temporary Expansion of Capacity
If your education, research, or work would be hindered by this restriction, we will temporarily expand the limit. If you wish to do so, please apply using the application form below.

※Notes
・Depending on the contents of your application, we may refuse your request.
・This application is valid only for the current month.
・Please confirm the expiration date in the notice after the completion of the setup.
・It may take up to 3 business days to reflect the setting.
  ※Applications cannot be submitted on the same day.
