所長からのメッセージ

ようこそ、中央大学国際センターへ。（English follows）

中央大学では、交換留学先として人気のある北米やヨーロッパをはじめ、世界41の国と地域、217の大学・機関と協定を結び（2024年11月現在）*1、学生や研究者の国際季交流の一端を担って参りました。交換留学や認定留学といった長期留学、夏季・春季の短期留学、各学部独自の留学プログラム、その他にも休学制度を利用しての留学、さらには海外インターンシップなど*2、海外生活を経験する選択肢は多くあります。留学の機会や機運は今まで以上に高まっていることを感じます。国際センターでは、海外留学を考えている在学生の皆さんへの機会の提供や各種サポート、海外協定校等からの留学生や研究者の方々が本学で充実した学修や研究活動ができるためのお手伝いをしております。

中央大学では、海外留学から帰国した有志の学生や現役の留学生による、在校生に経験や知識を分かち合う取り組みが本格化しつつあります*3。学生時代の海外生活が、その後の人生やキャリアに大きなインパクトを与えることを、身をもって経験し、後輩に伝えようと活動する方々が増えています。

留学の仕組みを知るところから始めたい方や、留学に興味はあっても何から始めればよいのかがわからない方もいらっしゃることと思います。留学を充実させたものとするためには、早めの準備と綿密な計画が必要です。また、留学中の充実した学びと安全の確保、帰国後には成果を振り返り将来につなげるための振り返りも有用です。国際センターでは留学に関するサポート体制を整えておりますので、まずは各種ガイダンスに参加していただき、具体的な疑問点や相談事項が出てきましたら、ぜひ留学相談を受けてください。国際センターでは本学での学びがより充実するよう、力強く応援して参ります。

【本学の国際化の将来構想について】
実現可能性を重視した多面的な国際化の展開（Chuo Global-X）

Welcome to the International Center, Chuo University.

Chuo University has partnership agreements with 217 universities and institutions in 41 countries and regions worldwide, including popular exchange destinations such as North America and Europe (as of November 2024)*1. This wide variety of destinations played an important role in the international exchange among students and researchers.
There are many options for experiencing life abroad, including long-term study abroad programs such as exchange programs and credit-bearing study abroad programs; short-term study abroad programs in the summer and spring; original study abroad programs offered by each faculty; study abroad during a leave of absence; and overseas internships*2.
The momentum and opportunities for studying abroad are greater than ever.
The International Center provides various opportunities and support for students who are interested in studying abroad. We also support international students and researchers from partner universities and institutions in studying and research activities at Chuo University.

At Chuo University, initiatives by volunteer students who experienced studying abroad and current international students to share their experiences and knowledge with current students started in full swing. More and more students are realizing through their own experiences that their overseas experience can have a significant impact on their future lives and careers, and they are eager to pass on their insights to younger students*3.

Among students who are interested in studying abroad, some may not know how the programs work or where to start in the beginning. The key to a successful study abroad is early preparation and detailed planning. Proper preparation not only ensures a fulfilling and safe experience abroad but also allows you to reflect on your achievements after returning to Japan and apply them to your future goals. The International Center provides a variety of support for studying abroad. We encourage you to participate in various guidance sessions first and if you have any questions or need advice, please feel free to contact us for a study abroad consultation. At the International Center, we are committed to supporting you so that your learning at Chuo University will be even more fulfilling.
