The Research and Development Initiative (RDI) was founded in July 1999 to meet the growing societal demand for the research at universities, and is a unique organization in our university in that the research is conducted by external funds.
The Social Co-Creation Promotion Organization was founded in April 2026 to facilitate the development of interdisciplinary "Research Initiatives" by integrating Chuo's diverse expertise with external knowledge. This organization contributes to society by putting research results into practice and connecting them directly to innovation.
Research Promotion Office was established in 2015 to initiate research activity at Chuo University, and to promote cooperation with external organizations, such as industry and government. This initiative provides prompt and flexible support, such as proposing research, managing and operating projects, managing intellectual property, and technology transfer, and it actualizes the social contribution through our research activities.
"Private University Research Branding Project" is the project to come out with our individuality as university with based on characteristic research activity. We are carrying out two unique projects to implement our vision "To promote expert and interdisciplinary research activity to resolve various complicated global issues".
