Multicultural and Diverse Environments

Prayer Rooms

The prayer rooms are located on the Tama and Korakuen campuses. The prayer rooms are used mainly by Muslims, but as multicultural and tranquil spaces, they are open to anyone who needs a place to pray, regardless of religion or beliefs.

Halal Foods

You can access Halal-certified foods on the Tama and Korakuen campuses. Several Halal foods shops are in Tama and the downtown Tokyo area. Online Halal or Kosher shops are also available.

Diversity Center

The Diversity Center provides counseling services related to disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, etc., and operates the Diversity Space, a safe and secure room for students to visit.

The Center also provides the handbook for students as well as the guidebook for faculty and staff summarizing information about gender and sexuality at the Diversity Center (Tama Campus). These books are not just for those concerned but also worthwhile reading for every person related to Chuo University. You can easily download from below so please take a look for your knowledge enhancement. If you want it printed, please drop by the Diversity Center.
