Use by other university students and faculty members and by the general public

Chuo University Library is not open to the public except the International Documents Room. Researchers and university students who wish to use books and materials in this library for research and study purposes are requested to bring with you your ID card and a letter of introduction from the library at your institution when you visit us. Those of you who do not belong to any institution are advised to consult a public library in the first place. In case the book or material you are looking for is not stored in the library of your university, institution, or local public library, we offer a service to copy and mail the specified document in that particular book or material. (This is a paid service.) Please note that we do not answer inquiries by any individual user asking if a certain book or material is in the library's collection or how he/she can use the library.
