Historical Development
Chuo University Alumni Association celebrated its 100th anniversary in October 1988. The Association dates back to 1888 when it was founded as the Koyu-kai, which was three years after the establishment of Chuo University as Igirisu Horitsu Gakko (the English Law School) in 1885. In 1905, the school changed its name to Chuo University and the Koyu-kai to “Gakuin-kai”. For over 137 years, the Association has been sharing its historical development together with Chuo University.
