Campus Life
International Center
The International Center serves as a hub for international students as well as domestic students to lead a meaningful student life.
1. Study Abroad Programs for Chuo students
Sending Chuo students for short-term study abroad programs as well as semester/year-long study abroad programs (exchange, ISEP, credit-bearing study abroad).
In addition to one year or one semester exchange programs and one-month language training programs during spring and summer vacations, there are credit-bearing study abroad programs that allow students to study at educational and research institutions of their choice. Annually, over 1,000 students develop their international skills and grow at universities around the world.
2. International exchange and cross-cultural understanding
Providing opportunities for international exchange and cross-cultural understanding on campus including operation of International Residence Chuo and International Lounge (G-square).
3. Support for international students
Students from all over the world are accepted into degree programs through entrance exams for international students, and non-degree exchange students are also accepted under partnership agreements.
4. Operation of language courses (extra curriculum)
The International Center provides various courses to improve foreign language skills and promote studying abroad, serving as a cornerstone for developing globally-minded individuals.
5. Exchanges with overseas partner universities
6. Support for exchange of researchers
Chuo University continually exchanges researchers with faculties, graduate schools and institutions. The International Center supports a wide range of activities and programs: accepting international researchers and international guest researchers; sending faculty members to partnership institutions and international academic conferences; and, holding international academic conferences and international joint research programs.
