Year of Enrollment April 2022

Please describe your hometown.

I come from Taiwan. Taiwan is the most mountainous island in the world.

Among different universities in Japan, why did you choose Global Management at Chuo University?

I chose GLOMAC at Chuo University because I was attracted by the international environment where I could study business in English. Other deciding factors were that I could study while interacting with students from diverse backgrounds, and that there were many opportunities for practical learning, such as case studies and discussions with industry professionals. I feel that this is the ideal environment for me, as I want to play an active role in the international business field in the future.

What do you find interesting at GLOMAC?

At GLOMAC, learning practically is what I like the most. There are a lot of case studies and group work, so it's interesting not just to learn knowledge, but to think about how to use it. It's also exciting to be able to discuss with students from various backgrounds, and I feel like my horizons are broadening.

What are the challenges of international students in Japan?

I think the biggest challenge for foreigners living in Japan is the language barrier and cultural differences. There are many situations in which Japanese language is needed, such as in daily life, various procedures, and finding a part-time job, and it can be quite confusing at first.

If you could explain GLOMAC in 3 words, what would they be?

Global, Challenge, Growth

What are your study or career plans for the future?

In the future, I would like to play an active role in the international business world. I am particularly interested in jobs that allow me to create new value, such as trading companies or consulting firms. Through engaging in a long-term internship, I am gaining practical experience. I would like to continue taking on challenges in a global environment, while taking advantage of the business and economics knowledge I learned at Chuo University and further developing my strengths!

Do you have any advice for international students who think of entering GLOMAC?

Enjoy the international environment and feel free to express your opinions and ideas! Trying new things will broaden your horizons and expand your opportunities to learn!
