Chuo University Pacific Office

Chuo University has opened its first overseas hub located in the East West Center on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Exchange programs have started between the two universities from the fall term of 2013, and a customized short-term exchange program featuring language and cultural courses got underway in February 2014.
Together with its geographical advantage of being located in the center of the Pacific, bridging East and West, the new office plays a significant role in providing excellent opportunities for Chuo students to learn about the history of Japanese immigrants who live in Hawaii, and to learn about their own identity. The Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Policy Studies are preparing exchange programs together as well.
