Faculty of Global Management: Professor Asako Iida Awarded the "Padlet Black Belt"
Padlet, headquartered in San Francisco, is a leading EdTech company that develops and provides "Padlet," an online bulletin board designed for sharing text, images, and videos for educational and team activities. This platform enables the visualization of each student's ideas and work, allowing them to be shared with the entire class. It is widely used in educational institutions around the world.
Since 2020, Professor Iida has been utilizing Padlet in various educational settings. This includes facilitating students’ creative work and in-class video sharing, organizing logical structures, providing feedback on drafts for graduation theses, and documenting discussion processes. Her excellence in merging pedagogy with EdTech has been highly recognized, leading to the conferral of the “Padlet Black Belt”.
The “Padlet Black Belt” is the highest-ranking title awarded to practitioners who effectively and creatively utilize Padlet in educational activities. It is granted to the top 0.1% of Padlet users worldwide, determined through a comprehensive evaluation of how they integrate Padlet into lesson design, their efforts to enhance learning outcomes, and a proven track record of consistent application.
Furthermore, Professor Iida's initiatives using Padlet have been featured as one of the “Chuo University Good Practice Examples.” (link available in Japanese only)
