Chuo University International Center Commemorates Launching of Beijing Support Desk

Chuo University officially launched its Beijing Support Desk (located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China) on April 1st 2025. Operated by the Global Education Service CO., LTD, Chuo University has entrusted GES with the role of introducing the University to their affiliated Chinese high school students and supporting the seamless cooperation between the University and the high schools. Two months after its establishment, the Opening Ceremony was held at the Twenty-First Century Hotel in Beijing on June 30th.

At the Ceremony, several guests delivered congratulatory address, including; Nago Manabu, Counsellor of the Education and Sports of Japanese Embassy in China; Liu Yi bo, Director of the Department of Higher Education Cooperation, China Education Association for International Exchange; Xia Yang, Vice-President of Dalian University; Chen Yi Li, Director of the Exchange Students Office of Tongji University; Wu Qiaofang, Director of International Exchange of East China University of Political Science and Law.

Representing Chuo University, Vice President Maki Kunimatsu, who oversees efforts to increase the University’s presence in the world and the Director of the International Center, expressed her congratulatory remark. This was followed by the introduction of Chuo University and the report on the relationships between the University and China, such as the situation of acceptance of Chinese international students, by the International Center staff.

In 2024, Chuo University launched “Chuo Global-X,” our future vision for globalization, and facilitates a multifaceted approach with an eye on feasibility. The “Beijing Support Desk” is expected to serve as a key hub in achieving several major objectives of “Chuo Global-X,” namely, “boosting the capacity to accept outstanding international students,” “enhancing engagement in research,” and “advertising.” Chuo University is committed to maximizing the potential of this new hub.
