[Faculty of Global Management] Professor Junji Nakano received an award at the Interim Conference of the Asian Regional Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing

In December 2024, Professor Junji Nakano from the Faculty of Global Management received the IASC-ARS Contribution Award at the Interim Conference of the Asian Regional Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC-ARS) held at National Taiwan University.

The IASC-ARS Contribution Award is given to researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the development of statistics and data science in the Asian region. This time, the following researchers were selected.

・Wing Kam Fung (Hong Kong)
・Moon Yul Huh (Korea)
・Junji Nakano (Japan)

The International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) is one of the sections of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), established in 1885, and serves as a global academic organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of statistics. The IASC-ARS is the regional body responsible for Asia, and this conference was held as part of its activities.

Professor Nakano has been conducting research in the fields of computational statistics, statistics, and data science for many years.

The Faculty of Global Management will continue to contribute to society through its educational and research activities.
