Professor Shigeyuki Aoki of Philosophy Department Elected to Board of John Locke Society
Professor Shigeyuki AOKI, a specialist in Anglo-American philosophy from the Faculty of Letters, has been elected to the board of the John Locke Society. Since its founding in 2012, the Society has primarily been led by American researchers, making Professor Aoki the first Asian board member in its history.
Remark of Professor Aoki: It is an honor to be elected as a new board of the John Locke Society. I believe my research over the past two decades has borne fruit. It can also be said that Locke studies in Asia (Japan) are gaining international recognition. During my three-year term, I will make every effort to promote international Locke research and actively invite workshops to Japan. I am very grateful for your cooperation and continued support.
