Delegation from Office of National S&T Research Programs, Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam visited Chuo University

On October 2nd, 2024, a seven-member delegation from the Office of National S&T Research Programs, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam visited Chuo University Korakuen Campus to exchange informations on research promotion. Vietnamese graduate students and a researcher also participated in the meeting.

First, Mr. Dao Ngoc Chien, Director General of the Office of National S&T Research Programs, Ministry of Science and Technology gave a briefing on the status of research promotion in Vietnam and the purpose of their visit to Chuo.

Then, Yoichi Ishii, Director of the Research Promotion Office and Professor of Faculty of Science and Engineering, explained the research promotion systems at Chuo as well as introducing some good examples of research units at the Research and Development Initiative and the uniqueness as a research institution in Japanese universities and research risk management systems.

This was followed by a question-and-answer session and information exchange on such topics as technology transfer and efforts to address research misconduct.
