Riku Umekawa, a freshman in the Graduate School of Letters, become the first Japanese to receive “travel award” at XXIV The International Congress of Infant Studies
Riku Umekawa, a freshman in the Psychology Course, Master’s Program of the Graduate School of Letters was awarded the “travel award” at the International Congress of Infant Studies (ICIS) which was held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 8 to 11, 2024.
This award supports student writers who are permitted to present their research at an academic society, or students willing to study babies and infants in depth (being an undergraduate student at the time of applying is a prerequisite), by subsidizing their travel fee to the ICIS. It is hard work to receive this award, and Umekawa marks the first time to be awarded as a Japanese.
