Chuo Alumni and Founder of Daiso Mr. Hirotake Yano Pass Away

Chuo University alumni (graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering in 1967) and founder of Daiso Industries Company Limited, Mr. Hirotake Yano, passed away on February 12, 2024, due to heart failure. He was at the age of 80.

Daiso Industries Company Limited established the business model of selling products in the framework of everything 100 yen and has opened 990 stores under the brand name Daiso, Standard Products, and THREEPPY in 25 countries outside Japan (as of December 2023).
