Chuo Swimming Club Performs Brilliantly in the 99th Japan Championship Swimming Competition - 5 of Chuo Students and Alumni booked tickets to the International competitions

The 99th Japan Championship Swimming Competition was held from April 4 to 9, 2023, at Tokyo Aquatics Centre. At this competition, swimmers from Chuo Swimming Club or graduate swimmers cut the mustard. Among others, Ikki Imoto’s (Senior, Faculty of Law) achievement was prominent, taking the first prize in 400 meter freestyle (Men) and the second prize in 1500 meter freestyle (Men). Nagisa Ikemoto (Junior, Faculty of Law) also took the second prize in both 100 meter freestyle and 200 meter freestyle (Women) swimming races. As for 50 meter (Men) swimming race, the graduate swimmers done great such as Shinri Shioura (graduated in 2014) winning the first prize, followed by Masahiro Kawane (graduated in 2022) taking the third prize.
