Chuo’s President was appointed as a member of the Second High-level Advisory Council of the Organizing Committee of World Internet Conference (WIC). The term is effective November 6, 2018, through November 5, 2021.
WIC is an annual conference held in Zhejiang, China, by the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Zhejiang Government. WIC aims to build a more promising future, where more people share opportunities and results created by the development of the Internet. It is a large-scale event that gathers experts on the Internet from about a hundred countries. One of President Fukuhara’s research themes, “Study on The Law of E-commerce and Payment” led to his appointment of a member of the Second High-level Advisory Council.
On December 14, 2018, President Fukuhara visited Professor Li Yuxiao in Beijing, a coordinator of the WIC Organizing Committee, to discuss the future of Internet development.
