New Year’s Greetings from the Chief Executive Regent

I wish you all very happy holidays and much success in the New Year.
Among the things I am looking forward to most during this holiday season, I am eagerly awaiting the Hakone Ekiden road race. The Chuo University Ekiden Team is returning to this annual event after a year off, and I hope that the runners, having overcome hard training, will find the best in themselves and make a spectacular showing in the race, under the supervision of coach Fujiwara.
In addition, 2018 will be the third year since Chuo University released Chuo Vision 2025, a ten-year development plan focusing on establishment of multiple new faculties, the upgrading of campuses in Tama and downtown Tokyo, continued promotion of our global initiatives, promotion of sports, and further expansion of our comprehensive university. We are committed to implementing this development plan in order to sustain and strengthen our presence in the global arena, and I would like to ask all faculty, staff, and alumni across Japan and abroad for your cooperation and support.
Above all, I hope the New Year brings fulfilment and success to you all.
Chief Executive Regent
