Starbucks set to open at the Tama Campus this fall

Chuo University and Starbucks Coffee Japan, Ltd. are coming together to create a Starbucks coffee shop on the third floor of the Green Terrace at the Tama Campus.

Third floor of the Green Terrace where Starbucks will be located is directly connected to the Tama Monorail Chuo-Daigaku Meisei-Daigaku Station. The Terrace is to be redesigned to create a new space to disseminate information about Chuo together with a cafe. On the floor below are the Crescent Academy, where lifelong learning is offered, and the Career Design Support Center, which serves the career development needs of students. The Terrace, a learning space for students and local residents, will serve as the hub for information on Chuo’s history, sports and other activities. We hope that this new space will become a “communication gateway” creating opportunities to experience Chuo’s motto of “Knowledge into Action.”
