Chuo and RUPP signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2016, and have now begun discussions regarding Chuo’s newest undergraduate program, Global LEAP, which will begin in April 2017.

The Global LEAP Program will focus on developing sustainability awareness of various environmental and social concerns. Participating students from Japan and around Asia, while on exchange, will study and explore sustainability of the global community through discussions with guest speakers. In classes and other fora, students will discuss and analyze human activities and their impacts on Earth’s environment, as well as on human rights. RUPP Rector Chealy is actively involved in human rights concerns, and RUPP is viewed as a valuable partner for Chuo.

The Chuo delegation’s visit concluded with discussion in a friendly atmosphere on exchanging students between Chuo and RUPP within a year.
