Winner of World Wushu

Tomoya Okawa (3rd-year student in the Faculty of Letters; majors in Chinese Language and Culture) received the 2013 Faculty of Literature Extracurricular Scholarship and trained at a Wushu school in China.
 

At the 12th World Wushu Championship held in Malaysia, Okawa became the first Japanese to win a gold medal in the sword event and a silver medal in the spear event.
