Won gold medals (swimming & soccer) in the 26th Universiade

The 26th Universiade Games were held from August 12th to 23rd in Shenzhen, China. Gold medals were won by the three athletes listed below, all of whom are members of the Chuo University Physical Education League, Association of Student Clubs.
 

We would like to thank everyone who cheered these athletes on to victory.
 

1. Swimming (Men’s Competitive Swimming)
 

Shinri Shioura (2nd year student in the Faculty of Law)
Event: Freestyle
 

Gold Medal
Men’s 400-meter medley relay (anchor)
 

Shioura also won bronze medals in two individual events.
 

Bronze Medal
Men’s 50-meter freestyle
Men’s 100-meter freestyle
 

2. Soccer (Men’s)
 

Kazutaka Oiwa (4th year student in the Faculty of Economics)
Position: Defender
 

Mitsunari Musaka (3rd year student in the Faculty of Economics)
Position: Midfielder
 

Championship Match: Japan 2—England 0
This was the fifth overall time the men’s soccer team won the gold medal and the first time in the last three tournaments.
