2011 CLS Summer Program in Tokyo:”Introduction to Japanese Law in English”

Chuo Law School (CLS) will host a summer program titled “Introduction to Japanese Law in English” this summer that was started last year. This one-week program will focus on the basic structure of Japan’s legal system, its business law, and its international business transactions law. Lectures will be provided in English by professors at CLS and are open to law students from around the world. The program also includes optional study visits to law firms, courts, and museums.

No academic credit is offered for this program; however, those who complete the course will be eligible to receive a certificate of participation.

Note: This program is offered through “Chuo University Law School Academy,” a division of Chuo University for Chuo Law School’s public outreach.

Note: CLS is located at Chuo University’s Ichigaya Campus in central Tokyo. We
have not been damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake and are doing
business as usual.

Fees:
 

JPY 30,000 for 5-day course.
Airfare and accommodation costs are not included.
Local transportation and museum admission costs are not included.
Tuition shall be paid on the first day of the program, Aug.15, in cash (JPY).

CLS has no housing of its own in central Tokyo.
