Taking Advantage of My Knowledge in Natural Science Field, Studying in Japan to Become a Human Talent Playing a Major Role Globally

The reasons why I chose Japan as a place to study are because I love Japanese culture, and I am convinced that Japan is the country where I can study the field of my future dream, a consultant.

Among the Japanese cultures, I like anime the best. I have been familiar with anime works related to science in particular since I was a child. There is no such anime in Mongolia that enables viewers to gain scientific knowledge by enjoying a story and opening up their favorite fields or interests. As I loved anime so much, I also started to admire a voice actor. I had wished to speak the same language, Japanese, with my star voice actor and I set my goal to become fluent in Japanese. I was positive that Japan would offer me chances to gain expertize knowledge as well as learn Japanese. Isn’t it great to serve a dual purpose?

Before studying in Japan, I majored in mining engineering at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology in Ulaanbaatar and graduated from the University after researching mining resources based on natural sciences such as mathematics and physics. I did gain science and technology knowledge and specialized area skills at the University, however, I felt I did not have enough knowledge to start a business or expand businesses globally as a company worker. So I decided to study abroad. The first thing I did was to study Japanese at the Japanese School for 2 years. Then I entered the Faculty of Global Management of Chuo University where it was offering programs that fit my future goal of career.

Growing Up Through Encounters with Wonderful Friends and Teachers, and Various Experiences

There are tons of good memories which make me feel happy to study abroad. Studying abroad offers you a precious opportunity to experience different cultures. Getting in touch with unknown cultures, customs, food, festivals and so on will open up your perspectives in a global manner, and enrich your personal connections by meeting new friends from all around the world. In addition, I could understand myself in depth by acquiring language skills and upgrading my understanding of cross-culture.
While in Japan, besides studying, I have to work, cook, and clean all by myself to make a living. First, I didn't know how to manage my time and cut my sleeping hours to finish assignments which ended up with me becoming ill. I learned the importance of time management skills.
It is nice that I got to understand myself in depth. Through understanding and analyzing myself, I believe I have clarified my strengths, weaknesses, interests, and values.

I am stimulated by the courses I am taking at the Faculty of Global Management. I was hoping to work at foreign capital IT companies so I focused on studying specialized fields of Global Market Analysis, Cross Cultural Management, International Business Law, Global Marketing Strategy, and Global Finance among the Faculty's programs. Corporate research and lectures by management executives are profitable opportunities for me. I belong to the Mahendra SINGH (Associate Professor of the Faculty of Global Management) seminar which studies Management Strategy, IT Strategy, and Global Business areas. I was fascinated by his charisma and that is why I took his class. I feel myself developing through my teacher's course and all the lectures presented by the guests active in various fields.
As of now, I seem to be the only international student from Mongolia, However, I was so relieved as Professor Takenori Shimizu, a former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, and a Special Appointed Professor at the Faculty of Commerce of Chuo University until last year, always cared about me. Furthermore, I was relieved in a financial aspect, too, as I was qualified for “a scholarship for Mongolian Students studying at the Chuo University” for the second consecutive year.

Living on my own, studying at Chuo, and Job searching. Every encounter and experience helped me open up my goal set before coming to Japan and contributed to finding my career course.

I Wish to Start Business in Mongolia in Future

My future goal is to build an international career through working in Japan. I had been active in searching for jobs such as participating in the internship program from the third year. I applied to many companies and shed many tears for not being accepted. However, I got an official job offer from a foreign capital IT enterprise. I am going to learn practical consulting business here for a few years and accumulate experiences as a leader through engaging projects or tackling issues, and hopefully improve my business skills. My prospective company is focused on fostering talented individuals who can play a major role in the world so I am looking forward to working there from this April. Then, I would like to start a global business in Mongolia on a long-term basis.
