テーマ　　Theory-Practice Transfer in Foreign Language Research

要旨     The question of how the findings of scientific studies are relevant to teachers and whether the theoretical insights of language acquisition and language teaching research can be put into practice has been debated for a long time. Recently, this issue has gained renewed attention through topics such as the transfer of insights from research and scepticism towards science. This lecture provides an overview of the history of foreign language research and the development of the scientific discipline of German as a Foreign or Second Language. It also addresses research paradigms, models of teacher expertise and the complexity of factors in foreign language teaching, examining and comparing different perspectives.
