【国際経営学部】自然豊かなミネソタ州マンケートで学ぶGlobal Studies

国際経営学部では、学部開設以来、海外短期留学プログラム「Global Studies（GS）」を実施しています。2026年度にも、アメリカ・ミネソタ州のミネソタ州立大学マンケート校（Minnesota State University, Mankato）を訪れ、豊かな自然に囲まれた環境で、3週間の学びと交流に取り組んでいます。

マンケートに到着した学生たちは、Mayor of Mankato（マンケート市長）と面会し、現地の地域や文化について話を聞きました。プログラムでは毎日英語学習に取り組むほか、Language Partnersとの交流を通じて、実践的な英語でのコミュニケーションを練習しています。

また、マンケート市内のツアーやMall of America Excursionなど、さまざまな活動にも参加しています。ホームステイでは、それぞれのホストファミリーと一緒に時間を過ごし、現地の家庭での生活を通じて、アメリカの文化や日常を身近に体験しています。

授業で英語を学ぶだけでなく、現地の学生や地域の人々との交流、ホームステイなどを通じて、学生たちは実際に英語を使う機会を重ねています。さまざまな経験を通じて、英語力を高めるとともに、異文化への理解を深めています。

国際経営学部は、今後もGlobal Studiesをはじめとする多様な国際教育の機会を通じて、学生のグローバルな視野とコミュニケーション力を育んでいきます。

Since the establishment of the Faculty of Global Management, Chuo University, the Faculty has offered Global Studies (GS), a short-term overseas study program. In 2026, students are visiting Minnesota State University, Mankato in Minnesota, where they are spending three weeks learning and engaging with the local community in a city surrounded by nature.

Upon arriving in Mankato, the students met with the Mayor of Mankato and learned about the local community and culture. Throughout the program, they are working on their English every day and practicing practical communication skills through interactions with their Language Partners.

The students are also participating in various activities, including a tour of Mankato and an excursion to the Mall of America. During their homestays, they are spending time with their host families and experiencing American culture and everyday life firsthand.

Beyond learning English in the classroom, the students are having many opportunities to use English through interactions with local students and community members, homestay experiences, and various activities. Through these experiences, they are developing their English communication skills while gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures.

The Faculty of Global Management will continue to provide opportunities such as Global Studies to broaden students’ global perspectives and develop their communication skills.
