【国際経営学部】初めてのマレーシア・マラヤ大学でのGlobal Studies――3週間の学びと交流を通じて成長

国際経営学部では、学部開設以来、海外短期留学プログラム「Global Studies（GS）」を実施しています。2026年度は、初めてマレーシアでのプログラムを実施し、学生たちはマラヤ大学（Universiti Malaya）を拠点に、3週間の学びと交流を経験しました。

プログラムでは、英語の授業に加え、マレーシアの文化や宗教について学びました。また、AirAsiaなどの企業を訪問し、現地で働く方々から仕事やビジネスについて話を聞くなど、マレーシアの社会や企業活動について理解を深めました。

さらに、マラッカ（Melaka）へのツアーやPort Dicksonでのホームステイを通じて、マレーシアの歴史や文化、現地の生活を体験しました。現地の大学生がバディとしてプログラムに参加し、学生たちは一緒にさまざまなアクティビティを楽しみながら、交流を深めました。

プログラムの最終日にはClosing Ceremonyが行われ、学生たちはバディとともにマレーシアの伝統舞踊を披露しました。3週間の交流を通じて築いた友情を形にする、思い出深い機会となりました。

参加した学生からは、「コミュニケーション能力、異文化適応力、挑戦する力が大幅に成長しました」との声が寄せられました。また、「バディと、一緒に行った仲間と勉学も遊びも全力でやりました。この三週間は宝物です」と、充実した3週間を振り返りました。

国際経営学部は、今後もGlobal Studiesをはじめとする多様な国際教育の機会を通じて、学生のグローバルな視野と行動力を育んでいきます。

Since the establishment of the Faculty of Global Management, Chuo University, the Faculty has offered Global Studies (GS), a short-term overseas study program. In 2026, the Faculty launched its first-ever GS program in Malaysia, where students spent three weeks at Universiti Malaya.

In addition to English classes, students learned about Malaysian culture and religion. They also visited companies such as AirAsia and learned about work and business directly from professionals in Malaysia.

The program also included a trip to Melaka and a homestay experience in Port Dickson, allowing students to experience Malaysian history, culture, and everyday life. Local university students joined the program as buddies, and the participants enjoyed various activities and built friendships with them.

At the Closing Ceremony, the students performed a traditional Malaysian dance together with their buddies, providing a memorable conclusion to the three-week program.

One participant reflected, “My communication skills, ability to adapt to different cultures, and willingness to take on new challenges improved significantly.” The student also described the experience as “a treasure that I will always cherish.”

The Faculty of Global Management will continue to provide opportunities such as Global Studies to broaden students’ global perspectives and develop their confidence and ability to engage with the world.
