中央大学杉並高等学校のグローバルプロジェクト

2023年度

中央大学杉並高等学校（中杉）では、2023年度、高校生たちが、「探求」学習の時間を使って、大学教員や大学生の力も借りながら、さまざまな課題について考え、何らかの行動に移す「アカデミックプロジェクト」という1年間のプログラムをスタートさせた。本学経済学部教授の林光洋とその経済学部およびFLP国際協力プログラムのゼミ（林ゼミ）の学生は、「アカデミックプロジェクト」の中の1つ、SDGsをテーマに掲げた「グローバルプロジェクト」を担当し、2023年4月15日（土）を皮切りに、3回にわたって中杉を訪問し、生徒たちの授業を手伝った。初回の授業では、林が「SDGsって何? ―誕生の背景と特徴―」と題した講義を行った。また、SDGsについての知識を深め、より具体的なアイデアを出してもらうために、林ゼミの学生が中心になって活動しているフェアトレード推進団体「FACT（ファクト：中央大学フェアトレード委員会）」の代表者から、フェアトレードの概要とフェアトレードとSDGsの関係に関する説明があった。7グループに分かれた高校生たちは、これら講義や説明を参考にしながら、SDGsに関連した社会的課題を見つけ出し、自分たちで実現できそうなプロジェクトを形成していった。その過程で、林ゼミの学生たちがそれぞれのグループに入り、メンターの役割を果たした。7つのグループは、SDGsに関連するテーマとして、環境や貧困、食料不安といった社会的課題を選び、それらを解決するための具体的なプロジェクトを提案し、それら提案を行動に移した。最終回の授業では、7グループから報告があり、林および林ゼミの学生はコメントをしたうえで、中杉の生徒たちの挑戦を高く評価した。

In the AY2023, Chuo University Suginami High School launched its one-year program called "Academic Projects." This program has been designed to encourage Suginami students to consider various kinds of issues and move into action in some form, by utilizing their "Tankyu (Inquiry)" class and receiving assistance from professors and students from Chuo University. Mitsuhiro Hayashi and the students from his seminar class (the Faculty of Economics and FLP International Cooperation program) have been in charge of "Global Project" that is one of the several Academic Projects and sets SDGs as a main theme. They have visited Chuo University Suginami High School three times starting from the first class on 15 April 2023 and assisted Suginami students. In the first class, Hayashi gave them a lecture on SDGs titled What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?: the Background of their Birth and their Characteristics. The representative of FACT (Fair Trade Chuo University Team), a student group at Chuo University that promotes fair trade, explained an overview of fair trade and the relationships between fair trade and SDGs, in order to have Suginami students deepen knowledge on SDGs and develop specific ideas. Based on those lecture and explanation, Suginami students divided into seven groups have attempted to identify social problems like environment, poverty and food insecurity as SDGs-related themes and formulate their own and feasible projects that would solve those problems. In the process, the university students from Hayashi seminar class have joined the Suginami students' groups and played as their mentors. In the last class, in response to the proposed projects and implementation reported by seven groups, Hayashi and his students have highly evaluated the challenges of Suginami students, after giving them some comments.
