取り組み概要、意義、成果

2023年6月3日(土)に、学生や地域の方々に日本の難民問題を知っていただく機会の創出を目的として、「日本の難民問題を知ろう！」というテーマで映画上映会とトークイベントを開催した。
第一部では、ドキュメンタリー映画『東京クルド』を上映した。当作品は、一時的に入管収容施設から仮放免されたクルド系青年2人の葛藤を描いた映画で、仮放免という不安定な在留資格から生じる課題が描写されている。上映後は少人数のグループで感想共有を行った。いずれの小グループにおいても活発な意見共有が行われ、映画の感想のみならず、難民問題に関する意見交換も行われた。
第二部では、BOND（外国人労働者・難民とともに歩む会）の真栄田早希さんとSALP 2021メンバーの関穂乃佳さんが、現在の日本における難民問題、特に入管法改正が当事者に与える影響についてトークセッションを行った。
当イベントには、中央大学の学生、教職員、地域の方々を含めた80人以上の参加があった。日本の仮放免制度の下に置かれ、進学や就業もままならず、社会から排除されがちな人々の現状を知っていただく機会を作ることができた。

Overview of initiatives, significance, and results

On Saturday, June 3, 2023, a film screening and talk event was held under the theme "Let's learn about Japan's refugee problem!" with the aim of creating opportunities for students and local people to think about the situation of refugees in Japan.
In the first part, the documentary film “Tokyo Kurds” was screened. This film depicts the struggles of two young Kurdish men on provisional release from an immigration detention center, and the challenges that arise from the precarious situation of people on provisional release. After the screening, the audience shared their impressions and thoughts in small groups. In group, participants actively exchanged their thoughts not only on the movie but also on refugee issues more generally.
In the second part, Saki Maeda of BOND (Walking with Foreign Workers and Refugees) and Honoka Seki, a member of SALP 2021, talked about current issues for refugees in Japan, especially the impact of the revised immigration law on those affected.
More than 80 people, including Chuo University students, faculty and staff, and local people participated. The event allowed them to learn about the current situation of people under Japan's provisional release system, who are excluded from society and put into the difficult situation of having no access to education or jobs.
