取り組み概要、意義、成果

クレセント・アカデミーでは、学内リソースや様々なリレーションを活用し、「子どものためのSDGsアカデミー」というテーマのもと、主に小学生向けにワークショップ型の２つのプログラム「ワークショップ ヒューマンライブラリーを通じて考える多様性」及び「ワークショップ 平和って何だろう？～争いを防ぎ、乗り越え、人と人とが共存できる社会に～」を実施した。当アカデミーは、本学の施設設備、研究成果、人的および知的財産などのリソースを社会還元することを主たる目的とした事業を運営している。
この2つのプログラム実施の意図や目的は、次の2点である。
①SDGsが学び方そのものの多様性の醸成を目指すものでもあり、小学生の子どもたちが学校教育など既存の伝統的なカリキュラムや学びの場ではあまり経験しにくい学びの機会と内容を提供すること。
②SDGs17ゴールのうち、主に「10人や国の不平等をなくそう」、「16平和と公平を全ての人に」について、課題の当事者の方々と直接触れ合い、インタラクティブに「実」体験する機会を提供することで、子ども世代に自らがSDGs目標達成やダイバーシティーかつインクルーシブな社会形成の主体であることを肯定し内面化する機会とすること。
両プログラムには、東京・神奈川・埼玉より合計約30名が参加した。

Overview of initiatives, significance, and results

Through Chuo’s on-campus resources and various relationships, Crescent Academy organized two workshop-style programs for mainly elementary school students under the theme of "SDG Academy for Children."  These were "Workshop: Diversity through Human Library" and "Workshop: Peace What is peace? -Preventing and Overcoming Conflict: Creating a Society Where People Can Live Together in Peace-." The Academy operates programs with the primary purpose of returning the University's resources, including facilities, equipment, research results, human resources, and intellectual property, to society.
The intention and purpose of implementing these two programs are twofold.
(1) To provide elementary school children with learning opportunities and content that they are unlikely to experience in existing traditional curricula and learning opportunities such as school education, as the SDGs also aim to foster diversity in the way learning itself.
(2) To provide opportunities for children to affirm and internalize that they are the main actors in the achievement of the SDGs and in the formation of a diverse and inclusive society, by offering them with opportunities for direct contact and interactive "hands-on" experiences with the people involved in the issues of the 17 SDG goals, mainly "10 Eliminate inequality among people and countries" and "16 Peace and equity for all."
A total of approximately 30 students from Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama participated in both programs.
