テーマ： 「言語相対性と語学授業」

要　旨：
Gruess Gott, Itadakimasu and I want you to…navigating word choice
and register in L2 contexts. Different words mean different things in
indifferent languages, and not every word has an exact one-to-one
translation. Also, different levels of formality are used in both spoken
and written communication. Being able to choose the correct word or
 to paraphrase as required, and switch register according to context
are essential interpersonal communications kills. This presentation
focuses on my own personal experiences in navigating communication
 norms across cultures, class observations and invites a discussion
on how we can teach these aspects of language to our students.
