要旨：

批評理論におけるperformativity の議論について、批評史と現在の論点をまとめた後、performativityの概念が、初期近代英国文学をめぐる議論に有効かどうかを検討する。

この検討を、Sir Philip Sidney の『詩の弁護（An Apology for Poetry）』の再読に繋げたい。

My talk would direct the argument of performativity theory offered by

Barbara Johnson, Judith Butler, Leah Marcus and W.B. Worthen to the

rereading of Sir Philip Sidney’s An Apology for Poetry.
