題目 :New Scheme Subdomain Level DGTD method and its automatic load balancing strategy for parallelization

 

アブストラクト:
    This talk will present the basis theory and the recent progress of a new scheme subdomain level Discontinuous Galerkin time domain (DGTD) method, which employs the field variables E and B. Its advantages in computational resource overhead and CPU time will be exhibited via comparison with the conventional subdomain level DGTD method and FDTD method, especially for the electrically small and multiscale cases. This method has been successfully applied to the simulation of antenna arrays, IC packaging, optical metasurfaces, etc.
    In addition, an automatic load balancing scheme for the subdomain level DGTD method with tetrahedral and hexahedral mesh based on the Message Passing Interface (MPI) library will be displayed. This scheme comes with a one-click solution using greedy algorithm after an initial division of the original model, which is relatively simple to implement. The whole automatic load balancing procedure is only involved in the preprocessing part without modifying the system matrices during the time stepping. The effectiveness of this proposed method has been validated by the numerical cases with good speedup ratio.
