タイトル: Robot applications using real time sensor control
The manufacturing industry requires today higher and higher
flexibility due to the requiring just-in-time production. This
also puts a huge impact on the up-time of the robot systems, and
their capability to handle reliably, introduction of new
products, which might not have been fully optimized for
robotization, due to the short development time.
Modern industrial robot systems, thus, often includes sensor
systems, to compensate for stochastic changes of the working
environment eg. unpredictable changes of the properties of the
products being produced by the robot cell.
Typically sensor systems, are force, vision, tactile, proximity etc.
General theory for utilizing sensor information in the robot's
control loop, will be presented, with a special focus on force
control. In addition, there will be put special focus on how to
utilize the sensor information to monitor and control the process
being performed by the robot. Examples like grinding, assembly,
automatic path tracking etc will be presented together with
