題目：Stability of trace theorems on the sphere

概要：Suppose one has a functional inequality, which has extremisers
(i.e. its best constant is attained on some set of functions).If equality
is close to being attained for some function then is, and in what sense is,
this function close to the set of extremisers? The study of problems of
this type goes back to Brezis and Lieb who considered the classical Sobolev
inequality, and has been extended to a number of other inequalities in recent years.
In my talk I will address this problem for a family of Sobolev trace theorems;
in the classical cases of interest, we obtain rather precise quantitative estimates.
I will also describe some connections to other previous results.
This is joint work with Neal Bez (Saitama Univ.), Tohru Ozawa (Waseda Univ.) and
Mitsuru Sugimoto (Nagoya Univ.).
